Do You Believe?

I read a book called "Saint" by Ted Dekker... There was a passage that talked about believing. Faith... is that not the key? I am not an author so i am going to write some of the lines from the book that really spoke to me...

"You are chosen! We are all chosen, but you for a specific task; which depends on your belief. " and "he couldn't just believe in some unseen, unfathomable Creator who refused to show his hand unless properly summoned! It made no sense. The stuff of a child's fantasy. Unless you become like a child...

When i read this, it made me think about having faith and being chosen... do i believe i am chosen for a specific task? Has God hand picked me to do something that he hasn't asked anyone else to do? And do i have the faith... do i believe that i can accomplish the task? But it is simple... unless i become like a child "in my faith". Do i trust God that when He says go! that he will provide. When he says wait! will i be patient and trust that he knows best?

I know this book is a fictional book but i believe there is nothing fictional about the truth that is spoken in these words.

The Bible says... we are a chosen generation... do you believe? For such a time as this... do you believe? Say to the mountian "be removed" and it shall if you have faith as a mustard seed... do you believe? Do i believe? Do we believe?

The Bible also says... i can do all things through Christ that gives me strength! I do believe! I do believe! I do believe! "From the heart the mouth speaks" I do believe!!!!!!!!!!

Lead by a child...

I will never forget the day i returned home from a trip... my children, Hannah and Heather, came to pick me up from the airport with their aunt. At the time, Hannah was about 2 years old. I put my luggage in the back of the van and made my way into the vehicle. I sat down in the seat and Hannah climb into my lap. The others that came with me, on the trip, all gathered in the van to head home. I began to talk to the other ladies in the automobile when i noticed that every time i turned to talk to them Hannah took my head and turned it to her face. I thought it was interesting that my presences was not enough for her but she had to see my face. Sometime later i was thinking about this situation and it reminded me about Moses and how he wanted to see the face of God. The Bible says that one day we will see Christ face to face in all of His glory. Sometimes it is not enough to be in the presences of God... i want to see His face!
